Are you woke or dumb?

Woke is a term used to describe a person who is alert to the racial and social injustice in the world.

For example, black George Floyd died in the course of being arrested by a white police officer and his backup officers. Woke outrage led to convictions for the cops, and George's family was awarded $27 million compensation.

I am dumb. I couldn't and still cannot wrap my mind around woke justice. Are you dumb?

black George Floyd died in the course of being arrested

I know, right? It's like when Abraham Lincoln was at the theater and he just died. Strange how that happens, sometimes people just die in the course of seemingly routine events.

@BohemianBoo Oh, or when Martin Luther King died of natural causes.

@BohemianBoo Getting arrested by the police who have to fight with you to subdue you is routine. Getting whacked with a nightstick for non-compliance is also routine. Getting whacked in a drone strike ordered by the US President is also routine. Where do you think you are living?

@LordShadowfire Martin Luther died of American natural causes. You come across as so lily white and pure that it makes Pope Francis look quite evil. How do you guys do that?
@sree251 We're talking about a routine arrest, right? One where George Floyd, who is black, thank you for reminding us, just suddenly died.
I'm just saying, it's weird how during this routine arrest, Floyd just stopped living, as if his neck was broken or something.

@BohemianBoo This would be a worthwhile discussion if you had followed the case as closely as I had. Apparently, you are just another happy guy living in the world.
@sree251 No, I did follow the case. George Floyd, who was definitely black, I'm glad you pointed that out, died while being arrested.

@sree251 So you followed the case closely? Please tell me, in your expert analysis of course, what happened on that fateful day.

And please, lay off the bullshit conjecture like this:

"If you were Chauvin's lawyer and brought that up in court, the prosecution would object to that fact as irrelevant and the judge would rule that objection as sustained."
sree251 · 41-45, M
@room101 It wasn't a fateful day. On that normal American day, Floyd inexplicably resisted police arrest and struggled with the cops to the surprise of his lady companion who was watching. She exclaimed in dismay: "What is he (Floyd) doing that for?" Watch that tape if you can access it. I am sure the trial records are available to the public.

If you are living in the US, you don't have any fateful days.
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@sree251 Oh, well, there we go. He started to resist arrest when he was being picked up for passing a fake $20 bill. That totally justifies him being killed. That's me told, I'll shut the fuck up now.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LordShadowfire Why don't you place the blame on that shop owner who called the cops on Floyd over such a small thing? He is a minority setting the cops on a black guy. Why don't you pick on the racism there?
