Pre democracy, there was an argument against the masses voting because they were unsound minds, unqualified to know what was best for a country.

Reading politics posts here add substance to that concern. Every slack jawed idiot has a vote to cast. And that’s possibly why things are as they are.

Perhaps democracy has had its day.

And to add to that, usually 40 percent can't even be bothered with voting in a Presidential election. Far less for state and local elections.

I don't think it's Democracy. I think it's people. And we absolutely get what we deserve because of it.
