Pre democracy, there was an argument against the masses voting because they were unsound minds, unqualified to know what was best for a country.

Reading politics posts here add substance to that concern. Every slack jawed idiot has a vote to cast. And that’s possibly why things are as they are.

Perhaps democracy has had its day.

I think it's one of these situations that's bad in both cases.

If you add rules to deny certain groups from voting then some politicians would definitely take advantage of that like some right wingers trying to push for murder charges for women who get abortion so they wouldn't be able to vote.

But if allowed any drooling idiot to vote some politicians "probably all" will try their hardest to brainwash and basically mind control people to vote for them.

American is fucked in the ass in both cases
