I'm tempted to heart this but Karl Marx is getting in the way!

Oh well better than the tshirt and poster mass murderer 🤭

@BritishFailedAesthetic Che Guevara is not a mass murderer really no history scholar would agree with you on this since there is nothing to back that accusation up.

@BritishFailedAesthetic What have you got against Karl Marx? It's just his point of view. If you have an argument against that, let's hear it.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Gloomy Who said Che Guevara was a mass murderer? He died so young. The CIA took him into the jungle and put a bullet in his head. This is common knowledge.
@sree251

What have you got against Karl Marx?

He, admittedly unintentionally, created a system that killed in the hundreds of millions and led to human rights abuses of many countries, but apart from that nothing.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic What system are you talking about? He was just a philosopher with a proposal for an ideal society in which workers own the means of production. And you would hold that against him for what reason? I don't believe any social upheaval that caused millions to die had anything to do with Marx's philosophy. You need to qualify your statement.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Funny how you don't apply the same to the Bible given the insane amount of people slaughtered in the name of christianity 🤔

@BritishFailedAesthetic Chile under Allende, Burkina Faso under Sankara, all the labor movements in Europe, New Zealand etc have been influenced by Marx.... reducing Marxism to the Soviet Union would be incorrect and in his writings he explicitly stated that Socialism can't follow feudalism. Also his ideas are great and can work otherwise it wouldn't have moved masses of people.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Gloomy You see Marx's vision as workable. Which masses of people did he inspire to implement his social model? You mentioned Europe and New Zealand. Europe is complicated and too complex to analyze. Can you say something about New Zealand? When was Marx's philosophy applied?
Gloomy · F
@sree251 social policies within a capitalist society implemented by soc dems, socialist or communist parties can be traced back to marxism obviously
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Gloomy Ownership of the means of production, as suggested by Marx, is another way of stating government by the people (US democracy). America is a mess.
Spotpot · 46-50, M
@sree251 Marx form of communism rejects the state money and classes.
