... so are deportations on the table now?

For my daily dose of demagoguery, I decided to listen to Donald Trumps' speech that he gave on the 25th of june 2023. I have to say, I've listened to a lot of his speeches... but this was one of the darkest ones yet. Now, everyone knows the things that he hates and the stereotypes that he uses to make the crowd foam out of their mouths. But this time he went exceptionally hard on immigrants... and "Marxists". I guess he finally dares to say what always follows if you are living with a notion of objective "evil" as your neighbour. There is always a final sollution to this kind of issue.

You and I have been fighting side-by-side to rescue our country from evil and senator forces that hate -- and cynical forces that hate it. As we gather today our beloved nation is teetering on the edge of tyranny. I believe that. You believe that. Our enemy are waging war on science and religion, on history and tradition, on law and democracy, on god almighty himself. They are waging war. […] The radicals are setting fire to our constitution, abolishing free speech, attacking religious beliefs, erasing our borders, corrupting our elections, and we have corrupt elections. and trying to oppose their creed of "woke" communism on every American, woman and child and that is what they are doing. We have never had a situation like is going on right now in our country […] Together we are warriors and a righteous crusade to stop the arsonists, the atheist globalist and the marxists and that is what they are. and we will restore a republic as one nation, under god God with liberty and justice for all.[…]

[...]Today I'm announcing a new plan to protect the integrity of our immigration system. Federal law prohibits the entry of communists and totalitarians into the united states. [applause] My question is what do we do with the ones that are already here? [laughter] I think we have to pass a new law for them. Using federal law, section 212f of the immigration and nationality act, I will order my government to deny entry to all communists, and all marxists. [applause] Those who come to join our country must love our country. We wouldn't want them when they want to destroy our country. Welcome to America, we want to destroy your country, thank you very much. We will keep foreign, christian-hating communist and marxists out of america.

We must be strong like never before. We must be unstoppable. Together we will take on the communists and the marxists, and the fascists and the globalists and the fake news media.

And when he’s summing up all the big plans he has for his new term:

[…] Because the time is coming up, we will have to extend that to expand the adoption tax credit. We will do that because a lot of people have been adopting and that's a great thing. Another to your already will be to expel the communists, and these terrible people that have taken over our education system.

... Anyway, if you are intrested in this kind of stuff. You should really take the time to listen to this speech.

If anyone still believes that this man upholds the constitution? Like, you don't have to go to another amendment then the 1st, then to figure out that he and his followers give one f*ck abouth that piece of paper.

And when you are this far to the extreme on the political spectrum, then the word "marxist" becomes just as meaningless as the word "fascist". It's just becomes a collective term, for everything these people don't like.

What's scary is that all the groups he mentioned is generalizing like if you read a book he doesn't like are you a commie and then you should get deported or what? Lol
@SatanBurger Yep. That is how it was in the past and under Trump likely will be again. Although before imprisonment or just destroying your life was more common than outright deportation.

At least now that the USSR is not around they can't accuse you of being a foreign agent like from 45-91

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I think you're right, it's likely they'll try to ruin lives cos they don't like the way you look rather than deportation. I know on here I'll just slightly disagree and then get called a communist, I wonder what that would look like if Trump followed on his word about getting rid of "commies." You know some fascist will have a field day on here lol. Be turning around to go snitch to authorities or something in order to get some brown nosing points for sure.

At least now that the USSR is not around they can't accuse you of being a foreign agent like from 45-91

I wouldn't put it past them to think of something similar though.
@SatanBurger Here in Canada (in my own neighborhood actually) we elected the first Marxist in all of North America to parliament and he we jailed for working with the soviets. The fucked up part is the "collaboration" was related to his work as part of the war effort against the Axis when we were allied with the USSR.

They refused to release him till he resigned.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Yeah you know they did that on purpose too, they didn't want him in there so they played dirty. If someone is gonna win against Trump, I hope they're prepared to get their hands dirty cos he's a dirty player for sure.
@SatanBurger I agree. And could you imagine getting doxxed and slandered by an entire nation state in this current tech age?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@sunsporter1649 I think that's different, if you were just giving your opinion, I would defend it but I've seen some of those crazy ass videos of parents Karening out on the school board making threats and stuff so I mean what I'm talking about is a little different. I'm not talking about people losing their minds here.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow That's actually a good point, you know they'd do that. Some far right groups already do that on Twitter, there's been stuff like that in the news.
@SatanBurger Or worse. Here in Canada a Sikh leader was assassinated by literal mercenaries about a week or two ago in British Columbia. He was supposedly rumoured to be associated with a separatist movement in India and well apparently the Indian government has bounties on various people in this movement.

What makes this case unusual is it was publicly reported he was warned they were coming by CSIS.
@SatanBurger For further context CSIS is our equivalent to the CIA.

@sunsporter1649 Yeah okay there's no background on that one. We all know when conservatives talk about porn it's likely someone showing their wrist or some dumb shit like that.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Wow so they're getting bolder, that's kind of scary. When the world stops caring and they get more bold, we're in for some rough times.
@SatanBurger The big reason I brought up the Indian government is to illustrate that once persecuting a group is normalized it doesn't take long for it to escalate.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow That's what I'm afraid of.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@SatanBurger Then, keep it simple. If you like to have a great America, don't wreck it.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@sree251 I'm sorry but in the 19th century they had gangs of boys running around robbing people, there's no evidence to suggest that upping fascistic activity will stop any crime. They used to hang people but people still had crime.

Actually when they used to sentence people to death publicly, that's when all them serial killers came out. We still had them.

In fact some of the more authoritarian people turned out to be monsters. The same people going on about how others are wrecking the states and same speech but different time period, turns out they kill hookers or some shit.
@sree251 The problem with that is "wrecking" the US according to people like Trump and the GOP is actually making the country better for the majority according to objective reality and evidence based approaches.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Evidenced based approaches. How come you guys are all spitting out the same shit?
@sree251 It is only shit to those who base their views on feelings, emotion and knee jerk reactions.

No facts or evidence required.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Knee jerk reactions are not canned. Can you say anything original?
@sree251 Facts are facts. This is not about entertaining you.
