Safe injection sites

Safe injection sites are the best way to reduce the stigma associated with drug use. These facilities provide a safe and hygienic environment for drug users to inject their substances under the supervision of trained medical staff. By creating a non-judgmental space, safe injection sites can help reduce the social exclusion and discrimination associated with addiction. Furthermore, by promoting hygiene and harm reduction strategies, these facilities can also help prevent the spread of bloodborne diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C. Overall, safe injection sites are an important step towards reducing the stigma associated with drug use and promoting public health.

They should be available in every city. The War on drugs is and was a massive failure. It's time to choose a different path, one that saves lives and improves society by taking care of its weakest.

We should also have safe rape facilities for serial rapists. Safe theft stores for kleptomaniacs and shop lifters. Safe day care centers for pedophiles. Safe roadways and routes for alcoholics and drunk drivers.

@AtticEscapee Do you feel smart comparing different crimes with each other, no matter their cause, effect and reality.

@AtticEscapee there is a big difference between a person choosing to do drugs, whether there is a facility or not, vs the innocents in your scenarios that do not consent to participate.

@Gloomy These people have simplistic answers to complex problems. Just like some politicians.
@Gloomy Safe boxing rings for spousal abusers.

@AtticEscapee your comparisons don't get any smarter
@Gloomy I am agreeing with your solution to irresponsible bad behavior.

@AtticEscapee 1 Drug addiction is a disease and not only attributed to a bad choice which is a common misconception and simplification people like you love to make

2. This aims at saving lives and to help people into treatment
@Gloomy I said I agree, but why stop with drug addiction?
Gloomy · F
@AtticEscapee cause the other shit is incomparable

If you want to say we should make therapy for domestic abusers mandatory if that's not already the case I am with you
@Gloomy Are you saying serial rape and pedophilia are not sick?
Gloomy · F
@AtticEscapee In a much different and complex way those people do also pose a big threat to the public therefore locking them up is the best way to go
@Gloomy Sounds like discrimination to me.

@AtticEscapee Yes, because a physical disorder of the brain should be treated like criminal activity.

It’s 2023, not 1873.
