How does one build this supposed scheme by cutting funding? Presumably the USA does pay her dues to the WHO ( and dozens of other international bodies) so is still funding public health but in a roundabout way less obvious to her own citizens. It's all still taxpayers' money!
(Judging by some comments you read on this hallowed fount of constructive, knowledgeable, inciteful and analytical discussion called 'Similar Worlds', many Americans seem to fear any public health service even in their own land is somehow "Communist", let alone in any spirit or act of international co-operation! Maybe they are the wealthy ones able to pay big insurance and medical bills... )
We all know you despise utterly and crusade enthusiastically against the World Health Organisation (and by extension any other United Nations body and the UN itself?); but you present no sensible, constructive alternatives. No man, it is said, is an island (though I don't know who originated that saw) - but nor is any country save only some are by physical geography. And infectious disease pathogens do not understand nations and boundaries: to them any human being is dinner irrespective of place. Or do you want every country to be totally insular, and to hell with everyone else?

@SW-User Well of course you do! I didn’t expect anything else from one of the most zealous followers of the self-styled "fact-checkers" (who are in reality, as Zuckerberg was shamefacedly obliged to avow, nothing more than highly-paid opinion-givers).
Balanced reporting? Fair reporting? You don't get that anywhere now! What YOU consider as "fair and balanced" is the unilateral laying down of THE OFFICIAL STORYLINE, with all other opinions blocked and cancelled! You are in so much intellectual danger! Yet you cannot see it.

@WalterF I have read the article. They have cobbled together a bunch of phrases... sometimes paragraphs apart... (you can tell by the ellipses) and then have essentially decided it means babies can be killed at anytime.
