How to pay our debts? Tax the rich ofcourse. We have a society of homeless and families who are poor and millionaires who don't care about the poor!

As a christian who has a good income I don't mind to be taxed more. We can afford to do the right thing. We want a caring country, not a hateful fascist country! We want God's blessing!

Well meaning but I wouldn't mingle your faith with politics as there are Christian right wingers who are Christ's disciples too.

I agree with you politically and I would love you to pay more so people like myself could pay less but it's not a be all or end all of your faith.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I realize I'm no longer a Christian, and therefore my opinion might be less relevant to you, but I'm inclined to disagree that those people are Christ's disciples. Reading the words of Jesus, and then reading the words of Donald Trump and the like, I fail to see how the two are compatible.
@LordShadowfire Trump is a different kettle of fish, he pretends to be Christian to appease his voters in my opinion.

MAGA people can be Christians but they must not idolize their guns and watch the language they use about asylum seekers "filthy illegals" certainly is not in the spirit of Christ.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I might be a bit biased, having mostly interacted with them on the internet, but that seems to be most Republicans these days.

What's really interesting is, my former church, the Evangelical Church of North America, is the main Christian group that seems to be supporting him. They didn't appear to be insane when I was a member. 馃槅

@BritishFailedAesthetic I think you listen to too much BBC.
@hippyjoe1955 I thought you were a hippy! You're supposed to be wearing my wildlife conservation and 'housing is a human right' pin badges! 馃お

@BritishFailedAesthetic fascism and christianity are two different things!

@Carazaa Fascism is the worship of Caesar. It is a form of socialism. Socialism happens when people rely on the state to help the poor. You know increase taxes like you advocate. The state needs to be starved not fed if you want a more equitable society. You are on the wrong side of history and Christianity.
CarazaaF
@hippyjoe1955 I am not a socialist but I believe we can tax the rich and it wont hurt the economy but it will pay our debts!
hippyjoe195561-69, M
@Carazaa Your a soft socialist who worships Caesar. You think that if you just give Caesar more money Caesar can fix poverty. Silly you. Poverty is not a shortage of money. It is a spiritual condition. You still haven't answered my question about the million dollars. Avoiding it for some reason?
@Carazaa Obviously. But if you saw a Trump supporter at your church you would assume they were a false convert?

Don't be a leftist version of a certain astronomical hobbyist (doubt he does it) born in 1989 and a certain chick from Texas! 馃お

@BritishFailedAesthetic As opposed to a Biden supporter? Really? Trump may have his faults but he is not a pedophilic bribe taker like Biden.
@hippyjoe1955 Reread what I sent to her, I think you are confused. I was asking her a question.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I don't see any similarity between @Carazaa, the stargazer, and the Tex chick. And I think anyone who pretends they are similar is suffering from what I like to call bothsidesism.
@LordShadowfire In the sense of mingling faith with their politics 'be on x side'.
@BritishFailedAesthetic So, what I'm hearing you say is that you can look at evil men like Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, and do nothing.
@LordShadowfire I wouldn't vote for them. What would you do?

@LordShadowfire Right, but how I saw the topic as was a sort of reverse Greg Locke so I commented.

The gospel has no political affiliations, how you conduct yourself however in politics is a different matter.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I see. So the part where Jesus said to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the immigrant, and love everyone equally? Keep in mind the new generation of Republicans like Trump and DeSantis say the exact opposite.
@LordShadowfire True, I did say for them to watch their attitude. But he is reffering to his disciples to be an example and get their hands dirty and the attitude we should have as Christians rather than government policies.
@BritishFailedAesthetic My point is, a follower of such politicians would say that you shouldn't feed the hungry because it'll create dependence, and you shouldn't clothe the naked for the same reason, and welcoming the immigrant is a good way to ruin the economy. These people are literally preaching the exact opposite of what it says in the gospel. At what point is it safe to say that they are not Christians?
@LordShadowfire When they have a Pharisee like attitude to the afore mentioned people and even then it may be something in their heart that needs to change which God can purge.

I will rarely, if ever, doubt A Christian's testimony.

@BritishFailedAesthetic "These are those who love me, those who keep my commands." Jesus said. Some "christians" worship another god, Satan!

In Matthew 24 Jesus said to his disciples that a sign of the last days before he comes back is deception and cold hearts. Please don't believe everything you hear. If someone is not loving they are not following Jesus.
@Carazaa As Christians we all have areas in our lives we need to improve upon. I could understand salvation concerns if they read the daily stormer, etc but merely being a Trumper would not get me to question their salvation.
