Interior Secretary Deb Haaland – Incompetent or Confused?
"Interior Secretary Deb Haaland is the first Native American to serve as a Cabinet Secretary. Which would be a great milestone, if she knew anything. Her answers to Congressional questions recently verged on total ignorance as she spoke in circles with various responses that went from “we will always follow the law” when they haven’t, to “no.”
She does not appear to understand the basics of critical elements for EVs like cobalt and lithium, which are primarily controlled by China. The plans of the Biden administration will prevent these elements from being mined in the US and make us even more dependent on China. Secretary Haaland appeared to be unaware of this. When asked directly whether she was aware of the critical mineral issues, her answer was “No.”
There is a wind project called “Lava Ridge” in Southern Idaho, which she knew nothing about, despite two other Congressmen previously talking to her about it. She said she would look at it, but when pressed by Senator Risch, she gave “glittering generalities.”
Her answers ran in circles and were largely irrelevant. But that wasn’t all. In her responses to Senator Barrasso (R-WY), she claimed to “always follow the law” when clearly the Biden administration has not done so.
Oil and gas leases are REQUIRED by law. Yet the administration, and Deb Haaland in particular have thwarted the attempts of companies to obtain those leases.
This administration plays with and spins “The wheel of losers” and it has certainly stopped on “uneducated, naive, deniers of reality, uninformed, or simply not up to the game nor in the league for the game.” Bureaucrats. Proof? Mayjorkas and Buttigeig are two major losers and then there is one more category on that wheel that the climate Czar, John Kerry falls in…hypocrite!
