@Amylynne that's not always true. A great harbor like Catania was an important hub, many others needed to trade there, each group prospered, they became a huge federation -. No wars.

@Amylynne no, but my people, the Catanese, still say that the federation became the first Greek empire. It's true that several empires were at home there at times that didn't have wars.
The famous abuses committed by empires there were many. So were other sorts of times.
