Whose right to "Stand Your Ground" takes precedence?
"Texas has one of the strongest 'Stand Your Ground' laws of self-defense that cannot be nullified by a jury or a progressive District Attorney," Abbott said in a tweet. “I will work as swiftly as Texas law allows regarding the pardon of Sgt. Perry.” . . . .

Perry, an Army sergeant, was working as an Uber driver in Austin on the night of July 25, 2020, when he ran a red light at an intersection downtown and drove into a Black Lives Matter march before stopping.

Garrett Foster, carrying an AK-47 rifle, was among a group of protesters who approached his car. Perry told police that Foster threatened him by raising the barrel of his rifle at him, so he shot him five times with a .357 revolver through the window of his car before driving away.
If someone runs a redlight to ram their car into you, aren't you standing your ground by raising your AR-15?

Rights exist, talking rationally about them is important -. Guns aren't among the rights.
USA is no joke! It's not going to exist along with human rights!
We lost.

@Roundandroundwego Rights are whatever a society says they are. Do you not believe the right to reasonable defense? The dead gut qas defending hisself and his group and see botjing wrong with his actions. The result in fact proves he was right to point.
@MethDozer no. Rights are not what your society says. We set the bar higher in most places.

@Roundandroundwego Where? And yes rights are a human construct.. A good human construct, but to pretend they are some natural or god handed absolute is skirting the truth and responsibility. You think rights exist as a natural fact??? Try demanding basic healthcare, housing, and clean water. Rights are whatever we fight for and put into action as a society. That's a fact Jack.
@MethDozer someplace rivers have rights. You don't want that to matter. So it can't. You can have lotsa guns and say it's your right. What you prefer. Nobody thinks youreally need to be correct on rights when you are so well armed. It's just a fond wish that you would not prevail as a nation and that peace could happen. Nobody thinks it's likely. Booooom! You probably already shredded humanity and the ecosystem! You won.

@Roundandroundwego Form a coherent thought instead of replying in jibberish for once.

@Roundandroundwego this last last reply doesn't even make any sense.
@MethDozer Rights exist, guns are definitely not among the human rights. The USA stands in the way of coherent discussions of rights with its wars, guns and border detention centers. But nobody expected the country to be anything but a killer.
Form a coherent and peaceful population.
@MethDozer no, you just don't prefer to admit what was said is true. Being a crappy reader is really likely when the USA is getting debunked. Especially online.
@MethDozer where do rivers have rights? That's not the USA -. So, where? Are adults allowed to remain ignorant on purpose?
MethDozer · M
@Roundandroundwego You're not making your point very well that rights aren't human constructs and whatever we choose and fight them to be.

Try making a point instead of framing vacuous questions. Questions aren't points.
MethDozer · M
@Roundandroundwego Make a statement that shows rights exist beyond whatever a spciety says they are and fights for.

1,2,3..... go!!!! Burden of proof
