Do you believe that Donald Trump should be in jail ? 馃 馃嚭馃嚥

There seems to be a lot of charges being filed here.
And there also seems to be a lot of information we as a people are not being told.
You saw the news, and the headlines.
Donald Trump has been in the news almost every single day since 2015.
And it has been this way non stop.
Do you believe that after everything you have learned up to this point,
that Donald J Trump should be prosecuted and sent to prison.

Best answer wins. 鈽猴笍

Did you watch cnn the said basically new york da is charging a crime of federal statute he is not allowed to prostitute. The only crime is a mistermeaner and statute of limitations is out on it. So this is a bunch of political bs.

@dale74
he is not allowed to prostitute
You鈥檙e not allowed to prostitute either haha!

@JPWhoo what ever typeo

@dale74 He's not charging a federal crime. He's charging a state crime that was committed in furtherance of a federal crime. I know it's complicated but that's how it works. Like Nixon wasn't in trouble for the Watergate burglary, but for attempting to cover it up. Bill Clinton wasn't impeached for banging Monica Lewinsky, but for lying about it. Trump isn't being charged with paying off Stormy Daniels, but for attempting to conceal an illegal campaign contribution.
dale74M
@LeopoldBloom and campaign contributions are felony only under federal law not new York state law where it is a mistameaner and statutory limits have already passed.
LeopoldBloomM
@dale74 It's a felony in New York to commit a crime to conceal another crime. That raises it from a misdemeanor to a felony and places it back within the statute. I'm sure Trump's attorneys will make the same argument you did, so it will be up to the judge. I'm also sure Bragg thought about this. Keep in mind, none of us have seen the evidence yet, so it's all speculation.
dale74M
@LeopoldBloom from the prosecutors who will not prosecute theft or violent Acts during protests
LeopoldBloomM
@dale74 Tell that to all of the George Floyd protesters in prison right now.
dale74M
@LeopoldBloom or January 6th people who are in jail still today over 2 years past the day and still not seen a court room. And those who have gone to trial and found guilty only because exculpatory evidence was coverd up till Republicans took back ovet the house. This is a grounds for total disbarred hiding evidence that helps the accused.
LeopoldBloomM
@dale74 If anyone is in jail over 2 years without a trial, they have a crappy lawyer. Where are all those right wing law firms? Probably too busy trying to make abortion illegal or return LGBT to second-class citizenship.

And there is no "exculpatory evidence," if someone was trespassing, that's a crime even if a Trump stooge on the Capitol Police force let them in or they only walked around quietly. The rioters' goal was to prevent Congress from carrying out its constitutionally-mandated duty to count the electoral votes and certify the winner as president, because they had fallen for the lie that the election was fraudulent. We now know that even the cheerleaders on Fox News knew Trump lost, and only perpetuated the Big Lie because they were afraid of losing viewers to Newsmax and OANN.

The people arrested during the George Floyd protests have been treated more harshly than the Jan. 6 rioters, who in many cases received shorter sentences for the same crimes. But you won't hear about this from the biased sources you follow.
