The banana republic of Florida man wants to ban black history....shocking literally noone. You can study the culture and history of the former Axis

Powers nations though.

No way! Governor DeMentis is doing racist things?

The whole idea of 'lawful history' is as bizarre as 'alternative facts'. Whatever happened to 'truth' and 'lies'?

@Thomas52 This is the issue with the Republicans. I had the most interesting conversations with two dyed-in-the-wool conservatives recently, and both explained in the most amiable terms possible that I believe what I believe and they believe their way and we're all free to choose and God bless the USA.

Except that anyone with more than a GED-equivalent education understands that not every debate is one side v. the other. Sometimes, very often, in fact, there is the right side and the wrong answer based on misinformation, poor calculation or laziness. You can argue that 4+4=7. You cannot expect your argument to make lies truth.

@Graylight Frustrating, sad and actually dangerous if you decide that, say, traffic laws are just a matter of opinion or worse, that disease, illness and death only affect you believe in them. 🤦‍♂️

You should read the bill, so you actually know what is in it before you post your propaganda.
Graylight · 46-50, F
@ron122 yes, advance an AP African-American studies course whose curriculum is available online. It’s your basic diversity and history training. But DeSantis doesn’t want anyone to tell him he comes from a line of slaveowners, so he made it not exist.

Interestingly, no other AP course dealing with ethnic groups or foreign history has been scrutinized or banned.

I know you keep considering yourself an expert on all things you don’t know, but you don’t know what’s happening here. Should you elect him, when you find out don’t let us hear you complaining.
@ron122 This is not propaganda. This is right wing extremism working exactly as intended.

It also is curious that you consider yourself an expert on the bill but cannot point to why this one basic AP course violates the law but no other does.
@ron122 The very idea of government approved "lawful history" is also a problem by it's very nature.
