The period of gender transition can be quite tough, usually at least four years with a huge roller coaster of experiences and emotions. Many trannies love to explain and educate about it, but some get sick of it and refuse to do so. Back when I was a sculptor and art teacher in the inner city, I met and got to know quite a few.
One way to learn about it is to read a wide range of queer fiction, or alternatively, read the research.
