Yes and Trumps ones were up his ass but they couldn’t find a proctologist that wanted to examine is ass.

@justanothername best use of unexpected anal fetish in a political thread.
My favorite conspiracy theory is that Secret Service agents loyal to Trump are planting them.
@SusanInFlorida Yeah, it doesn't work out as well in practice. But the DOJ has more independence from the White House than other government agencies, even if it's not as independent as we might wish.

Ultimately, Congress has the power of impeachment and removal as a last resort, and of course the people have the power to vote.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@LeopoldBloom my list of government agencies that ALLEGEDLY are independent, but have been repeatedly accused of carrying out partisan directives.

1. The IRS
2. The FBI
3. Department of Energy (fossil fuel policies)
4. Homeland Security (opposed by democrats when it was formed. they claimed it would be used for domestic surveillance)
5. Federal Reserve and Department of the treasury (manipulation of interest rates to benefit the incumbent occupant of the white house, continuously, for quite some time)
@SusanInFlorida We're about to see performative "investigations" by Congress of at least the IRS and FBI, if that means anything.
Santos actually invented that telescope. It on his resume. He is actually James Webb.
@SusanInFlorida I think Santos is Russian too. But of course that too varies by the day.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@anythingoes477 the GOP certainly seems to fail at vetting their candidates. Santos, Herschel Walker. Or is this proof that voters from both parties are simply too dumb to be allowed to pick candidates in primaries?
@SusanInFlorida The ONLY concern the GOP has at election time is can we get enough seats to be in charge. The candiates elected can be blind, crippled and crazy....who cares? If that person can get the votes....the GOP shields them. For years they have played footsie with Qanon...even knowing they redefine delusional......because the delusional were voters that put trump in. And if trump fell out of favor that group would have to vote for someone....so it made sense for the GOP to pretend yo be delusional too. Case in point....Matt Gaetz. He could be charged at anytime with pedophilia based on the testimony of the other guy already in jail who admittted he and Gaetz split a 16 y.o. girl. But if the mantra of Qanon is "if you dont vote for trump that automatically means you screw children". Then the GOP cannot admit that an inner circle Republican actually did screw a minor. So the GOP protects Gaetz.....to cater to the idea that only dems are pedophiles.....to keep trumpers happy. It's all about seats and power.

And the point you're making here is what? Again.

Yup, Biden has been put in a very bad place, and this "open secret" of shoddy record-keeping should be addressed and managed to minimize these issue across the board in the future. This is not unique to Trump after all.

What is unique to Trump is knowingly taking them, taking pains to secret them from authorities, lying as to what had been surrendered to them, demanding he had magical powers he does not, filing motion after frivolous motion, and being so earnest in proving he's right that he's incurring formal criminal charges from the DOJ.

There are two issues at play here. One is office management. One is criminal.

@SusanInFlorida Nobody's ready to read a 1,000 word essay on every imaginary topic your fever dreams can create.
@Graylight @anythingoes477 @anythingoes477 Unless you are on the “inside” and are privy to the machinations of our out of control excuse for a government, you, nor anyone writing on here, has any idea what should really be classified or not. You are just speculating, period. At this point, and for some time now, our “government” commonly stamps thousands of documents weekly (if not daily) Top Secret whether it is warranted or not, to cover their asses, to hide their mistakes and various other nefarious reasons. It has become more than a daily habit with them, more like an addiction. Stamp, stamp, stamp….

Obviously the Dems as really are prepared to talk endlessly about the next nothing.
@Roundandroundwego Our only hope is that the new House will investigate that too, huh?
@anythingoes477 war in Europe, no single payer, no green new deal. That's bipartisan, baby. Bring on the new steel dossier.
