Ron DeSantis is like Trump

But actually smart and capable and he will have learnt from Trumps mistakes to make a run for president 2024.

He's a Republican, so I highly doubt he's learned from others mistakes, or even his own. He is smarter and more capable than Trump, but so is my pencil sharpener.

He’s an idiot who fails at 7th grade history and science, but he’s just smart enough to control you fully, the way Trump tried to do.

He supports a lot of the conservative values that Trump does ( Thank God ). He was able to make huge conservative changes in Fla. The man won Miami -Dade hispanics which proves that they.don't support illegal immigration and do support conservative values.

He has a more eloquent way of saying the exact same thing as Trump says

@LeopoldBloom He was the first republican to win in 20 yrs . Jeb Bush was the last republican in 2002.
@missyann Florida is not a swing state anymore. It's a solid red state. DeSantis is the beneficiary of that, not the instigator.

You're also incorrect about DeSantis being the first Republican governor of Florida since 2002. Rick Scott, a Republican, preceded DeSantis from 2011 to 2019. Charlie Crist became a Democrat in 2012, but was a Republican when he served as governor from 2007 to 2011. Jeb Bush was governor from 1999 to 2007. So you have to go back to 1999 for the last Democratic governor, Buddy MacKay, who served 24 days upon the death of Lawton Chiles, another Democrat who was elected in 1991.
@LeopoldBloom If you're looking for a Republican who broke the chain of Democratic governors in Florida, that would be Claude Kirk, who served from 1967 to 1971. Kirk was the first Republican elected since Marcellus Stearns, whose term ended in 1877. Democrats served as governors for the next 90 years, except for 1917 to 1921 when Sidney Catts, a Prohibition party member, was governor.
He doesn't have Trump's ability to work a crowd. DeSantis is a boring speaker with a whiny voice. I think a lot of his appeal is because people are actually not that familiar with him aside from knowing his name and having heard of several of the stunts he's pulled. As people get to know him better, his support will plummet. He's also peaking too early. At this point in the 2016 election season, Jeb! was the "inevitable" nominee.
