Someone said “democracy often ends in oligarchy”

Um 😐

Isn’t that kind of where we are at now?

The “elites” “the deep state”

There are some critical differences between democracies and oligarchies. In democracies, all people have an equal say in the government, regardless of how much money they have. In oligarchies, only people with a lot of money have a voice in the government. This means that the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.

Democracies also tend to be more stable than oligarchies. In democracies, there is always a chance that the people can vote out the people in power if they don’t like them. In oligarchies, the people in power usually stay in control for a long time because they have a lot of money and can buy votes.

Overall, it is clear that democracies are better than oligarchies. Democracies are fairer, more stable, and give all people a voice

I was today years old when I discovered america is an oligarchy disguised as a democracy similar to how socialist Venezuela identifies as a democracy

The ancient American democracy is completely ineffective for today’s world. It was designed to consolidate power for the ruling classes/elites a few hundred years ago.

The constitution is at least 100 years out of date and miles behind more modern more representative democratic systems.

The US seriously needs to up their game and move into the 21st Century with some kind of proportional representation that will do away with a two party state.

@Riverman2 also a lot of countries have far better constitutions- that is my point.

@sunsporter1649 I already live in one. Such arrogance to assume that everyone you speak to is American. Such a petulant thin skinned little man 😂

@TheDeathOfOzymandiaz things have gotten so bad here that's why people are always going around throwing the word "communism" I think we all knew but failed to realize
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@TheDeathOfOzymandiaz Good, you go ahead and stay there, the Constitutional Republic we have here is much better without you.
@DeluxedEdition Personally I think America is a great country. The people are amazing, I have visited a few times. I feel that they deserve better than what they get.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@TheDeathOfOzymandiaz Which is why we are throwing the left-wing nut-job marxists out
@sunsporter1649 Dude you don’t even make points. Just spout rhetoric. It’s childish.
