This election was the best thing that could happen to Republicans

1) Winning back the House enables Repulicans to block Biden's catastrophic big brother legislation as well as to set some of the legislative agenda. It also allows for hearings on some of the misdeeds of the current administration.

2) When the shit hits the fan over the Biden policies the Democrats won't be able to blame a Republican congress. The Republicans were not the "dog that caught the car".

3) Trump was seriously damaged. The Trump mystique, to the extent it still existed, may now be gone. This will allow serious Republican candidates to emerge and compete using conservative ideas to bring our society back to sanity.

Happy trolling! 😋

@SW-User IMO there would be far more benefit to America from defeating his insane ideas than from impeaching him. Impeachment would turn him into a martyr with the liberals and even some moderates. Furthermore the Democratic senate would never convict.
SW-User
@irishmolly72 it would totally sandbag anything he does. It would definitely make his ideas non starters

@SW-User I guess I'm just old fashioned. 🥴

@irishmolly72 'the Democratic senate would never convict.'

I think what his second impeachment proved is that no Senate would ever convict a sitting President for anything under the current rules. (i.e. a two thirds majority)

@irishmolly72 and, unlike with Trump, there are real grounds for impeachment - dereliction of duty

@SW-User As opposed to inciting an insurrection ?
SW-User
@LegendofPeza How did proving that work out?

😄😁😅

@SW-User Remarkably well actually.
