In Horrific Move, Iran's Parliament Votes to Execute 15,000 Protestors to Teach 'Hard Lesson'

Iranian lawmakers have, in recent days, called for strict punishments for the protesters who have been arrested. On Monday, CNN reported that a letter signed by 227 members of the Iranian parliament urged that the protesters be given harsh punishment that “would serve as a good lesson in the shortest possible time.”

“Now, the public, even protesters who are not supportive of riots, demand from the judiciary and security institutions to deal with the few people who have caused disturbances in a firm, deterrent, and legal manner,” Iranian government spokesman Masoud Setayeshi said, according to Reuters.

On Tuesday, parliament did just that, voting to impose the death penalty on all protesters in custody as a “hard lesson” for all rebels. The majority in favor of the penalty was considerable, 227 out of the 290 total members, matching the number of lawmakers who signed the letter.

In July 2021, President Joe Biden announced that he would end the U.S. combat mission in Iraq by the end of 2021, with remaining U.S. troops serving in an advisory and assistance role. The U.S. combat mission formally concluded on 9 December 2021, with 2,500 U.S. troops remaining in the country. Way to go, joe

Statement by President Biden on the Violent Crackdown in Iran

I remain gravely concerned about reports of the intensifying violent crackdown on peaceful protestors in Iran, including students and women, who are demanding their equal rights and basic human dignity. They are calling for just and universal principles, which underpin the UN Charter and Universal Declaration of Human Rights. For decades, Iran’s regime has denied fundamental freedoms to its people and suppressed the aspirations of successive generations through intimidation, coercion, and violence. The United States stands to learn a great deal about murdering large groups of dog face pony soldiers that get a little big for their britches.

I may have take some artistic license in writing this post that could give one the wrong impression about what was really said / written. This is the kind of thing that passes for journalism these days except they don't publish disclaimers like this.

Here's a freebie folks, don't move to Iran.

You're welcome.

So, in the words of Ilhan Omar, 'some people will do some things.'

She hasn't given a word of condemnation of Iran on this.

She has compared the women of Iran with pro-choice activists. Cuz you know, no one other than the unborn is at risk of losing their lives.

@Stereoguy The demonocrat party....promoting insurrection since 1823
Sounds like Joe Biden denouncing MAGA, or Hillary saying attack them at supper time anytime you see them.

Obama and Biden's negotiating partners, Iran.

Were getting closer every day.

In a situation like that the only reasonable course of action is for the women in the hardliners' families to kill the men when they sleep. It's the biblical solution.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
The police are trying to extort huge amounts of money from their families. I know a woman whose brother has been arrested for protesting. 😭
calicuz · 56-60, M
Well, whether we like it or not, it's their country, their laws, and those "protesters" don't have "The Constitution of the United States" to protect them.

I personally think the death penalty is very harsh, but in all honesty I didn't see the mayhem they created.

@calicuz When American troops were there, protecting the peace, none of this bullschiff happened
calicuz · 56-60, M
@sunsporter1649

It would have happened, and there would have been nothing American Troops could have done to stop it.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@sunsporter1649 American troops "protecting the peace" in IRAN??? you really are losing it ole sundowner, we have never had troops in Iran, well except for our failed rescue attempt (Operation Eagle Claw) during the hostage crisis in 1980... 🤪💩🦆

They don't belong in 21st century. They should be packed together with Putinists and sent back to Middle Ages.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Here we just move the protesters with our cars...eventually they learn not to play in the street
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
That's terrible the light will go out for the people of Iran😢
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Being dead doesn't offer a whole lot of opportunity to employ anything previously taught. Just saying.
calicuz · 56-60, M
@uncalled4

It's not so much for them, but more for future protesters.
