Sanders could’ve run in any election he likes. AOC, too. Hardly all candidates have the primary backing of their parties committee. Each has the same fundraising capacity as any other person seeking office, arguably much more. After a while, just like the election deniers have to realize, sometimes the people you want simply don’t get voted into office.
Damn it, your grammar pisses me off.
I'd really like to agree, maybe disagree, or both, but I can barely figure out what the heck you're saying.
Please don't take this as a personal attack, but I'm struggling to figure out the point that I think you're trying to make, because I think it might be worthwhile.

True. One of the most important issues right now should be restricting the amount of money that people can donate to politicians.

@BohemianBabe I don't disagree, but this will have to include either an amendment or a court willing to overturn Citizens United.

@BohemianBabe You might want to check out that Oil Rich conservative Republican who is bank rolling several Republican candidates in Arizona if you are going to talk about people limiting funds to political candidates.
BohemianBabe · M
@justanothername Why? How does that go against my point?

All politics is local. Progressives can’t win everywhere. And with the economy and Biden’s low approval, the Democrats did much better than expected.
I’m not sure AOC could win if she ran for governor or senator in New York.

The use of dark money is currently protected by the Citizens United SCOTUS ruling. Any law they passed would be killed by the courts.
Alabamarednek · 36-40, M
@RosaMarie the political parties have the prerogative to prohibit affiliation with candidates that take it and don't. The democrat party allows it in primary races.
RosaMarie · 41-45, F
@Alabamarednek So do the Republicans. Every add that doesn't end with a candidate's endorsement.

I’m guessing that neither the AOC nor Bernie Sanders were supporting legalized abortions?
Oops

Neither political party wishes to pass legislation like that. I shall leave you to reach your own conclusion as to why.
