republicans have gotten too weird

it seems their key issues (constantly screaming about gender, CRT, and abortion bans) did *not* resonate with voters this midterm

Republican majorities/Presidents are economically beneficial. The Democrats and all their feelings is weird to vote on/for, nobody cares about feelings becoming law in a nation founded upon Freedom.

@checkoutanytime Look back on every republican and e=democratic presidency since the early 1900s. Tell me which party's president was able to produce a deficit from a surplus which then had to be fixed by the next party in office. Hint, Clinton left with an almost balanced budget, which became a deficit over the next 8 years, then Obama managed to reverse that deficit only to have the economy destroyed by the next president.

@checkoutanytime you don't think people vote for republicans based on feelings?
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 yes i did before i commented. Everytime the Republicans are driving the white house things are affordable, and work is plentiful. D gives it all to their target'S, a total trash party.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@NoahB not at all.
NoahB · 31-35, M
@checkoutanytime hmm strange. i may disagree with republicans on many things but i woudn't call them 'dispassionate' by any means
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime totally incorrect! I don't know where you got your data, but it is wrong.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 life, its something i can not escape. 🤷 Democrat's have done nothing positive for me. Their drive to deystroy familiy values, is why as much as economically why i will never side with the far left, its stolen my goals by force.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime that is yoour decision, but, it is not the facts. The discussion about abortion is very sensitive, I understand that, but it is both a social and economic concern. May in the anti-abortion group also tend to dislike certain forms of contraception as well. Why should society influence even that?

As for you yourself, many social programs, including social security, Medicare, etc., were all originally suggested by republicans, but eventually passed into law by democrats. If you do not plan to take advantage of them, then you are odd. During COVID, there were millions of dollars sent directly to citizens to help them out, the democratic congress passed the infrastructure bill, the chip bill. Tell me those won't have any affect on you?
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 looking at those numbers, that benefits 1% not everyone is equivalent to the stockholm syndrome.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime you are showing your total ignorance. The figures are exactly the opposite. The tax cuts passed when the republicans had control, in the 2000s and again in the 20teens, favored only the super rich. It was totally a reverse Robin Hood. The tax cuts to corporations was supposed to trickle down to the average tax payer, it didn't. Instead, the CEOs and COOs took bigger salaries, bought back stock, and did nothing to enhance production of oil, etc.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 yes i know, but who is living a better quality of life ? Everything is disgustingly expensive everytime these Democrats are in control. I 100% disagree bc of life.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime Do you really believe that US dems control worldwide inflation? Wake up, you have been handled a bunch of BS.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 where is your president now? Traveling the world! The midterms are not even finalized, and paid for Joe is being an idiot abroad. Thank God.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime Would you want the president to stop being president? Don't you expect the president to act presidential and interact with other countries diplomatically? The current president has done more to restore trust in the US than any president since WWII.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 he told Egypt they get "50,000, uh umm duhha , 500,000 ev charging terminals", these people are committed to destroying the America you grew up in!
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime what are you babbling about now?
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 your presidents latest actions.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime what are you complaining about? you do realize that the globe has been warming dangerously fast, that a way needs to be found to decrease the rate, and the most effective way right now is to cut back on fossil fuel use. The only way to encourage electrification is to have enough charging stations
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 where?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime if possible, everywhere. The west coast is far ahead of the east coast in the US, Europe is way ahead of the US.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 all i see is the seasons shifting by a week or two, temps are not extreme levels, and dont break records. People are just ignorant to geology.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@checkoutanytime you are the ignorant one as to that. How many extreme weather events per year have we had recently compared to years ago? How quickly did climate change pre-industrial age versus now, and since the industrial revolution what is the slope of that change?
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 since the internet, and you are aware of them? Or the hurricane season that dismantles one bulls eye region or another each year?
MethDozer · M
@checkoutanytime our Founding Fathers felt they shouldn't be taxed without representation and claimed to feel all men were created equal. So they felt like theowing a Tea Party.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@MethDozer sort of an oversimplification. If true today, how would we deal with DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, etc?
