Main stream media

What does it mean?

Simply means when people use it in a derogatory comment they are getting their information from other sources.

Investigate further and it’s usually the Qanon rabbit hole.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
It refers to the collusion between the government and media companies in promoting government propaganda and narratives to indoctrinate those who consume such media.
@SumKindaMunster I know what you are and you don’t like it.

Suck it up,

Not so. I have never followed QAnon anyway.

Just relying on better investigative journalism. TV is trash.

@Ryderbike you sound as one who would not know the first thing about philosophy😊
@revenant I know enough to understand that what you think of me is none of my business. Apparently that bothers you. But not me,
revenant · F
@Ryderbike you are the bothered one :)

Correct. Bogas conspiracy sites tell their dupes that all other media are part of the conspiracy or have been fooled by the conspiracy.

LOL. And you've performed this investigation? What if I said "mainstream media" refers to daily newspapers in major metro markets and network television news? What other media sources would people you dislike include in that definition?
@LeeInTheNorthWoods you made my point.

What is mainstream media?
LeeInTheNorthWoods · 70-79, F
@Ryderbike Please read what I wrote. I defined mainstream media. Maybe someone can read it to you?
@LeeInTheNorthWoods really ..did you define it?

Does that mean every journalist?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I don't think there's a single informative TV news outlet. In their rush to cram in another commercial for BP meds, they leave out an awful lot. Caveat Emptor. Get your news from several sources and draw your own conclusion. Everyone is biased af.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Ryderbike Our approaches are different. But I'd rather have the harsh reality than a confirmation bias, and so I'll entertain input from most corners. I certainly don't follow any particular journalist. But you speak the truth, being informed does take time, and my impression is that someone hears or reads something.....and that's as far as their brain will go.
@uncalled4 I agree and further to your point ,so many seem to have no idea what the difference is between a political pundit and a journalist.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Ryderbike That's a great point. I wish people would stop the incoherent ramblings of pundits as gospel truth. Again, though, people's minds don't stay open enough. Best we can do is gather info the best we can.
Do you see how msm sings the same song, that means nothing at all? Historically speaking if you can control the masses, you can do and say anything you want, fact or fiction, and theyll believe it.
@checkoutanytime actually no I don’t see how they sing the same tune.
@Ryderbike i believe you. Due to your ignorance.

I can only conclude that it means Faux Noize

@SW-User well Cable is a relatively small market compared to network news.

Fox is the cult network off an on depending whether trump is attacking them or not.
