Voter Fraud

What is " wrong " with asking everyone to provide a picture ID to vote ? We are a smart nation I'm certain that we can come up with a mobil ID machine. There are codes that can be used to identify what kind of ID it is. Only a picture, or driving, an immigrant not yet a citizen but in this country legal, public assistance only ect...

In order to be done without accusing one party of cheating, sadly theres going to have to be a representative from both parties be present when the picture are taken and signed off on. Thats just the way it is now, no use in complaining. I know that there are enough people on both sides who want to volunteer to help with elections that are willing to represent their party. To oppose some type of a solution only makes it look like you want non citizens to vote.

I know that there are poor people without assistance or home bound where the mobil ID can go to their homes. There are county buses who take people to Drs appointments even disabled people. There can be county buses that can take them for other assistance.. Has anyone without an ID ever been to a Drs appointment, grocery store, bought alcohol, cigarettes or gotten a controlled prescription ? If yes, then it means that getting an ID is possible. Yes it will cost states and counties more money but I personally have NO PROBLEM having my tax money going for something like this. ANYTHING to shut the f××× fighting the hell up.

you can register to vote through DMV in California, not sure about other states, why not get a picture ID at the same time....

we need government photo ID to VOTE !

@Canicu69 California has 180 DMV offices, spread out over 163,696 square miles. Uniformly distributed, that would put one every 900 sq miles, meaning many people live 10 or more miles from a DMV. If you check out the DMV hours, they're pretty much the same as regular working hours. If you have a car, getting to the DMV is no problem. If you're carless working poor, getting there during open hours can be a real hassle.

California has 1634 post offices; why not allow people to apply for and obtain a voter ID via a post office as well as DMV? And why do citizens have to pay for a voter ID? Shouldn't it be FREE??

@ElwoodBlues nothing is Free.. Prepare a fish to a man who needs it and he eats for a day....Teach this man to fish and he will eat forever....your idea on the Post Office is a valid one. The problem with the democrats is they want everything to be free so they can maintain control. Instead of having free things, why not make everyone free. we are headed in the wrong direction. we will be like Venezuela before the elections in 2024....unless we change our. direction..

Hey, THERE'S an idea - social workers could ALSO help their clients obtain voter ID. Post offices, mobile ID facilities, social workers - we could use ALL these methods to make voter ID easier to get.
