Does anyone seriously think Pence could run?

Personally, I don't think he could win a Republican Primary vote against Trump, even if Trump were to get indicted or even convicted.

I'd love to hear that I'm wrong, but I tend to think that goody two shoes ethical/moral types can't compete with Trump in the GOP.

If Pence was either ethical or moral he would not have been stood at Trump's side for four years.
@LegendofPeza ...well, at some point, you have to think of who might come after you. Had Pence resigned in moral outrage, do you think his replacement would have been MORE likely to resist Trump's plans to steal the power back for himself?

@SomeMichGuy I don't understand either why Pence gets so much kudos for certifying the results. He had absolutely no choice but to. And it wasn't for lack of trying either. He was touting around everywhere trying to find some legal justification to go along with Trump's scheme.
@LegendofPeza ? He told Trump he wouldn't do it.

? I did not read/see/hear of this.

@SomeMichGuy 'He told Trump he wouldn't do it.' - He also told him that he had tried everything he could to find a legal justification. Eventually it was Dan Quayle (no less) who convinced him he had no choice.

@LegendofPeza I agree. Literally all he did right was to tell Trump the truth about what was and wasn't within the scope of his job. He doesn't deserve a medal for that.
