Corporate ass covering. They don't want the negative publicity.
Honestly if I were wendy's i'd fire the manager they had. But that does put you in the tough position of having to find a new one.
But You know I'm not particularly fond of their structure from a labor rights stand point, I have a good family friend who used to work at wendy's who was caught up at 18 for shoplifting from a local Ross store.
Now there are a few things I want to state about that. Our School system leaves children woefully unprepared and then dumps them on the world at 18 expecting them to know how to get by suddenly and all at once.
It doesn't really make sense and honestly its at a time when we are still growing.
The person who I'm thinking of worked for over a DECADE At the company but they used the excuse of her conviction at 18 for shoplifting to pass her over for management positions and hire outside people who couldn't do the job half as effectively as she could because she'd been with them as long as she had.
My Big sis loves the food but Big Sis hardly ever goes out far enough to eat there, they are inconveniently located.
But it honestly bothered me the way that there was this widespread attitude of zero second chances from the corporate world.
Once you strayed you were considered untrustworthy.
Anyways, She put herself through college and got a Nursing Degree and Quit on them, served them right.
