California Craziness: Now They Want to Ban Diesel Trucks to Fix Racism

The California craziness is at it again (is it in the water?). The California Air Resources Board (CARB) wants to ban all diesel trucks by 2040, requiring them to be fully electric. And they’re doing it to …wait for it… “rectify racist practices.

We are at a point of change in energy and transportation technology. To minimize climate change we must shift to low and zero carbon emissions power generation and vehicles.

Over 120 years ago we shifted to oil (petrol fossil fuels) and the internal combustion engine. That era is now coming to an end. [b]Don't be afraid of change[/b]. There will be challenges, but also great opportunities. Research and development is progressing rapidly on clean energy and low-zero carbon emission vehicles. Americans are beginning to change their transpiration habits. For example, millions of Americans are finding e-bikes are an excellent means to commute to work. And much less costly than driving a car. [b]You don't need a huge gas-guzzling SUV to travel a few miles![/b]

It's interesting how dismissive right-wing people are of clean energy and electric vehicles. Americans used to be known for our 'can do' attitude. What happened to that attitude?
