She married an American businessman, presumably in order to obtain passage to the United States. Once in America, she contacted a fair number, if not all, of her relatives to tell them the good news. Utilizing the aid of her husband's legal team, she brought them to the United States via so-called "chain" immigration.
I know exactly who you are talking about and she, as have countless others, used marriage for a better life and to get their relatives to our country. I think it's pretty f'd up (although sometimes understandable), but it is what it is and I don't see deporting her... even if it were possible, which it isn't.
She and her family should be allowed to stay. Of course, they should all forfeit any financial benefits they gleaned from her husband and have to go find actual employment, like every other migrant..😷
I don't agree with it, but it is perfectly legal. Just like there was nothing done about the Minnesota legislator who married her brother to get into this country. But, she is a democrat so that makes it ok.
I don't care which particular politician that you are referring to because this type of thing is fairly common and there's nothing wrong with it as long as everything is legal. It might leave a bad taste in our mouth because we might think that the end goal of that family was just to get over here but if as Americans we have a right to marry foreigners and to assist their families that's part of our American right. Change the laws if it's so bad but last time I checked we're literally begging foreigners to move over here because we want increase our population.
@REMsleep But you can see how ridiculous it is when someone who not only has arranged for his wife’s family to get here in that way, but whose own mother arrived that way complains when people not of European descent do it ? Even if they also do it legally ? 😳
@bijouxbroussard Oh sure yes I'm not in agreement with that type of rhetoric but I'm just responding to his post. I don't believe that most politicians are honest or upright or trustworthy so I just really don't even believe anything that comes out of their mouth. I'm not expecting anything different from them.
Her mother in-law basically did the same thing, except she was part of the "chain" after her sister arrived and settled in the U.S.

Has anyone actually seen Donald's long form birth certificate? How do we even know for sure that he's Murican? Do we really know he wasn't born in Budapest and Viktor Orban is his half-brother?!
