@ManKing The lack of knowledge and dependence on prefabricated talking points are astounding. It is not illegal to seek asylum. It is actually part of USA law (and order). The federal government is constitutionally responsible for immigration; that is why they can transport these people. The state has no such right.

Just like northern states have to bear the cost of winter storms that border states don't have, that just comes with the literal territory. Border states are located on the... *wait for it* border, so they have border issues. Northern states have the cost of snow removal.

Finally sending asylum seekers to a resort community and then criticising that community for sending them on to a military base (in the same state) with the facilities to handle them is not criticism at all. If Death DeSantis dropped the asylum seekers off at a grocery store and then provided a talking point for "the base" to declare grocery stores are inhumane for shipping them to a military base to support them would be the dumbest thing ever for "the base" to clutch on to. Try thinking for yourself... at least once. You just might like it.
