Sarah Palin and ranked choice voting

I find the results of this election quite telling, and revealing of the problems with today's GOP and their extreme candidates.

It sounds like people either voted Palin #1, or put her last. There are a few hints that nationally some of the extreme GOP candidates may fail in the general election in the same way in states/districts that are moderate or evenly split.

Just remember, poll after poll shows a strong majority of Americans:
1) Support some kind of abortion rights,
2) Think Trump needs to be criminally investigated,
3) Know the 2020 election was legitimate

Extreme candidates win in districts/states that are gerrymandered, or lean heavily to one party.

Even conservative Kansas rejected further abortion restrictions.

It will be interesting to see what happens in November. The GOP will probably regain seats, but it will be nowhere near what it was in 2010.

I live in Europe, but I listen and watch closely. Apparently the Republicans are a minority in the USA, with millions of votes less than their competitors nation-wide. As a result, they claim there was "voter fraud" everywhere, and I think they will be able to "win" elections in the future only by using tricks (like that "gerrymandering").

@helenS Republicans are a minority? Based on what evidence?
helenS · 36-40, F
@Strictgram
2016: 65,853,514 votes for Clinton, 62,984,828 votes for Trump, that's about three million votes less for Trump;
2020: Biden won 81,283,098 votes, Trump won 74,222,958 votes, that's approximately seven million votes less.
==> the difference has more than doubled within a time period of only four years.
If that isn't evidence then what is? 😏
@helenS Biden got 81M votes…. Lolz 😁

@Strictgram based on reality

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout What do you mean please??
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
@helenS much of this reflects the problem of the outdated electoral college counting as opposed to the popular vote.
helenS · 36-40, F
@BackyardShaman Yes. A person as powerful as the US president should be voted democratically. One man - one vote. (By "man" I don't mean those citizens with a penis in their trousers)
SW-User
@helenS WRONG. The state's electoral votes elect the President. And it will stay that way
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
@helenS exactly!! It’s time for Vaginal rule of Congress and the White House!
helenS · 36-40, F
@SW-User Yes I know, and anything else would be un-constitutional in the United States. But even as a foreigner I think I am entitled to an opinion.
helenS · 36-40, F
@BackyardShaman We rule the world anyway 😏
You guys are just too stupid to realise that.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
So do I, you will see effects based on USA government behaviors, anyone that doesn’t see this is self centered and ignorant (GOP supporters)@helenS
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
@helenS not all of us, but I’m very cognitive of the fact that women make up probably more of the population than men, at least a huge portion of it, so it makes no sense that they would be left out of Government positions.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@Strictgram GOP has had the majoriy of the popular vote for President once since 1988. That is pretty clear evidence.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@trollslayer Don't voters for house, senate and governor count?
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@Strictgram Yes. But the comment was regarding political affiliation in the USA as a whole. If all issues were voted on nationally as a popular vote, the country would move left. Its only thru the electoral college that GOP candidates have won the presidency the last 30+years. More states lean right, but more people lean left.
@SW-User It’s the fair way! It’s the only fair way!

@NoGamesTolerated And it will stay that way
@helenS He means dear H that it’s a joke that Biden got that many votes. He couldn’t even get a good crowd at his campaigning rallies. I’m really saddened how you really believe that this Alzheimer’s, old man won the presidency of the USA. Fact is he really didn’t but people tend to believe what they want to.

If you’d only watch 2000 mules you’d understand a bit better.
@SW-User I don’t know..?these evil powers that be seem to be ignoring the constitution.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@NoGamesTolerated ROTFLAMO......@ U!!!
SW-User
@NoGamesTolerated they are provoking a very dangerous response. Go away from the cities and talk to locals (heavily armed) and see and feel how close they are to a spark
@trollslayer They laughed at Noah until it rained and all were drowning except Noah and his family. You are not very smart to not know any better. Do us both a favor and stay away from me. Thank you in advance… I pray you get help for your delusions. Bye niw.
SW-User
@trollslayer another sublime response from an inferiour
@SW-User take note of what I told him in light of his very arrogant rudeness.
