Yeah, you rely on your gut. But be honest, doesn't your gut tell you the Earth is flat, the sky is the inside of a dome, and stars are just tiny little lights? Science, including statistics is how we CHECK ON our gut reactions.

@dakotaviper I need a bit of clarity here. Are you saying it's part of evolution because humans caused it and humans are the result of evolution? Or are you saying it's some sort of "inorganic" evolution that the planet would do anyway regardless of how much fossil fuels we humans burn??
