Mismanagement or authoritarian state?

Several people who were arrested last week as part of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ voter fraud crackdown were notified by official government entities they were eligible to vote, according to court documents and interviews.

The defendants told authorities they had no intention of committing voter fraud, according to affidavits, and in some cases were baffled by their arrests because counties had sent them voter registration cards and approved them to vote.

Welcome to GOPlandia, where voter suppression is the rule?

@ChipmunkErnie
Crooks oppose voting securities like voter IDs and crooks have deceived American blacks into supporting unsecured elections by claiming voting securities are racist.

I still think mismanagement, but if Trump or DeSantis come to power it will be authoritarian. Glad I'm not American.

A product of both, authoritarian conditions lead to mismanagement leads to mistakes.
Both. DeSantis will continue pressuring counties to make it difficult until folks just become discouraged and give in to his authoritarian goals.

Very few crooks have been caught and convicted of voter fraud but dozens from each election have. Nevertheless, it is doubtful a crook caught committing voter fraud will confess he knew he was committing the crime. That is like Comey letting Hillary off the hook after admitting she committed crimes but, according to Comey, she didn't mean to do any harm.

@NerdyPotato
If crooks don't get caught that does not mean they did not commit the crimes they did not get caught committing. But voter fraud is not like that. Dozens of voting fraud crooks have gotten caught, proving that voter fraud is not only possible but easy to do.
@marke do you have a source for that? And dozens on an 330 million population hardly makes a difference.

@marke "Dozens" out of tens of millions of votes cast -- a veritable tsunami of fraud? Ad most reported cases in recent years have been Trump supporters. And the one nationwide investigation into voter fraud, conducted by a group of GOP lawyers a few years ago reported they found no significant fraud.
So people are getting arrested either for no reason at all, or for a mistake made by the government. Making America Great Again is going really well, isn't it? 🙄

are you surprised? DeSantis will do anything to rile up the lowest of low!
Looks like an intimidation tactic to me.

More I see of people...more i feel the latter would be a better option.
mismanagement BY an authoritarian state
or Dismanagement?
Just think about whether you need the aggravation and don't vote.

@DavidT8899 Once again, typical right-wing deflection (I would show you but you'd just ignore it, so instead I'll run away quick before you ask me to prove it). OK then.. prove it
