Are we referring to actual crudités, or amuse-bouche. Crudités are a specific type of amuse-bouche, consisting of only sliced/whole raw vegetables (carrots, radish, salary, etc) along with a dipping sauce. While the more typical amuse-bouche, is something more sophisticated, and the French will look down at you, if you don't know what that is. Well, they're going to look down at you anyway.

There's also what Jon Stewart refers to as "amuse-boom", which is what Israel does when they bomb Gaza. They fire a blank that explodes right above a house/location, creating a sonic boom, to give people an opportunity to flee, followed by an actual missile/artillery shell 15 minutes later.
