And on and on. Let's put 40 million people in a place that's never had enough precipitation, overengineer the hell out of infrastructure to bring in water, etc, and hope nothing goes wrong.

If they’d let park visitors use the fallen branches in the campfire fire pits it would help a bit. No they have to bring in wood from somewhere else and sell it in the camp stores instead. And they will tell you that they don’t want visitors picking up the fallen branches because they are there helping the ecosystem. Some help when they catch fire and make it spread worse. Damn ridiculous.
