My Gun...Walter “Digger” New Shady Grove

"Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 870 right in the doorway. I gave it four shells, left it alone and went about my business. While I was gone, the mail gal delivered my mail, the trash man picked up the trash, a girl walked her dog down the street and quite a few of my neighbors drove past. Well, after about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there right where I had left it. It hadn’t killed anyone even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn’t even loaded itself. Well, you can imagine my surprise with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people. Either the media is wrong, and it is the misuse of guns by criminals, or I have one of the laziest shotguns ever made. I must hurry off now and check on my spoons. I heard they are making people fat."

And GM should be sued for every crime involving one of their cars, Buck Knife Co. should be sued for every stabbing involving one of their knives, Lousville Slugger should be sued for every injury involving one of their bats, etc. etc.

@fanuc2013 Up to a point I could agree with you. The truth is there are too many guns in American hands to ever be rid of them. And its a right under the constitution (while it lasts) But gun ownership isnt just a freedom. Its a responsibility. You are responsible for the control of a weapopn whose sole purpose is to injure or kill. Keep it secure. And if it is stolen report the theft. If you dont, or you have a gun you have not legal ownership of, then it should be a crime.. And you are culpable in the commission of any crime the gun is involved in.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman All of those things you mentioned are already against the law! There are tens of thousands of gun laws on the books and enacting a few more isn't going to make any difference! And what number is "too many"? Who determines this number? And do you really believe there will ever be a constitutional amendment abolishing the 2nd Amendment? That is laughable!

@fanuc2013 The laws that exist arent enforced. Now you expect that if you have connections or pay bribes in some Asian or African countries.. So whats wrong with the US legal system?😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Exactly right! The laws aren't enforced! So, do you think new laws will be enforced? I really don't care what is done in other countries, that has no bearing on the discussion. There are many things wrong with the U.S. legal system, and passing more anti-gun laws won't help that situation either!
