Should Trump be charged with crimes?

My question is not about whether or not he is guilty of crimes, but whether it would be good for the country as a whole to charge him even if there is ample evidence. I certainly see where there is enough evidence of crimes, but considering 40% of the country is still swallowing his #$%#, I think having him "tried" in the court of public opinion may be the better outcome in the long run. I fear that charging him will only strengthen his support.

Unless you've got evidence, you don't have a case.
@BigBulge what evidence? Whatever! No evidence is ever real!!

Wow. That should be enshrined in granite!

@BigBulge
@Vin53 exactly. No more truth. Murka.
@BigBulge There is testimonial evidence. There is also rather compelling evidence of attempted witness tampering. Why would he tamper with witnesses were he innocent?
@BigBulge There is more than enough already for a case.....and a conviction........but whether trump is tried or not in a court room he is already tried and convicted in enough voter's minds that he's toast. look at the track record of those winning in this years primaries of the stooges that rely on Trump to endorse them. Less than 30% wins after the Con Man endorses them. trump don't have to be put in prison......he has his punishment right now....and more to come. As he fades away.....his fan club falls away and everyone else in America is very vocal against him already. For a narcissist......when praise of how wonderful he is slows down or ends......that is a death sentence. The only way his name is spoken now is in connection with treason and witness tampering and election cheating..........
@anythingoes477 that's rather the point. Evidence doesn't work.
@Roundandroundwego It does...............if law exists to put it to use. But constitutionally the founders never imagined an elected official....especially a president....could possibly be so corrupt he would actually try to overthrow the United States to kill democracy. And neither could lawmakers for the past 240 years. So how do you prosecute a sitting or ex president is totally new ground. The best thing we can count on until safety nets are put into place for guidelines on how to prosecute the next one that is this corrupt and treasonous......is to expose just how corrupt trump is and count on the voters to have some sense of patriotism, ethics and common sense at the voting booth..,,,,,should he try again to take down America.

In the meantime.............he gets older and older.........and fatter...........and lazier. Between age and health.......the way to rid America of trumpism is to hope he dies...OR....... turn public opinion against him to block him from gaining an office...any office....ever again.....between now and the time he dies. Bad it comes down to that but if we count on what used to be the Republican Party to get back on track by dumping him...that is like hoping you can shake a fart out of a sheet.
@anythingoes477 not in the US political system. It works against the majority on everything. But you win! Length away that pesky understanding. Dem on! Nobody ever can do anything about anything -. Ever!
