Should Trump be charged with crimes?

My question is not about whether or not he is guilty of crimes, but whether it would be good for the country as a whole to charge him even if there is ample evidence. I certainly see where there is enough evidence of crimes, but considering 40% of the country is still swallowing his #$%#, I think having him "tried" in the court of public opinion may be the better outcome in the long run. I fear that charging him will only strengthen his support.

Anyone who thinks Trump is the one who should go to prison needs to read this thoroughly

https://similarworlds.com/politics/4402169-And-you-wonder-why-gas-is-5-00-a-gallon

We have been sabotaged intentionally, knowingly, because gas holds the key to the American economy
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@th3r0n And gas holds the key to the American economy because American oil companies and car companies have been selling America down the river through lobbyists for decades. Many european companies are preparing to outlaw selling new gasoline engine cars in the 2030s. Because they can. They will have the cars and the networks to do it.
jofun925 · 61-69, M
@th3r0n Even if all that were true, what does that have to do with holding Trump accountable for any crimes he may have committed? Read the question.

@whowasthatmaskedman Yes, Mercedes-Benz will be going all-electric by 2030. They plan to invest more than 40 billion euros, or $40 billion, between 2022 and 2030 to develop battery-electric vehicles, and be ready for an all-electric car market by 2030. Spending on traditional combustion-engine technology will be "close to zero" by 2025, according to a spokeswoman.
The European Union will issue a ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035, aiming to speed up the switch to zero-emission EVs as part of a broad package of measures to combat global warming.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@helenS Now the next thing in Europe is a massive expansion of electric generation capacity.😷
helenS · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Hopefully, by using sustainable and renewable resources!
My dream would be a large-scale combination of photovoltaics and electrolysis of water, yielding hydrogen.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@helenS Exactly.. All you need is daylight or wind really. And the investment. In the end it is about the hydrogen fuel cell cars, more than the battery storage cars.😷
Oster1 · M
@whowasthatmaskedman And this is good, for the world? 🤔
Oster1 · M
@helenS Perhaps, more thinking on this issue, is needed. 😊🌷
helenS · 36-40, F
@Oster1 ... and I think the combustion engine does have a future – if (and only if) it's driven by hydrogen instead of hydrocarbons.
Production of current rechargeable batteries isn't exactly environmental-friendly.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Oster1 Battery pack is better than Gasoline or diesel in terms of climate change and pollution. But the batteries are polluting themselves in different ways. (and there is the recharge issue) In the end the hygrogen fuel cell is clean in manufacture and emmissions. and sustainable. So given that people want to contunue driving.. Its the way to go..😷

@helenS I really like you and often think about our picnic, by the lake, but this will not happen, in the foreseeable future! Am I still invited? 😊🌷
helenS · 36-40, F
@Oster1 It's hot outside (37 ℃ and still going up) – but the lakewater is cool and refreshing, because it comes from the mountains. I think you'd enjoy our picnic!
Who knows what will happen in the future. 🌷
Oster1 · M
@whowasthatmaskedman No freaking way, yet! Thank you, for being nice, though! 😊
Oster1 · M
@helenS Awww, just know, I'm in love, with your attitude!

Together, we just intrinically know, what matters most!

Thank you, so much, for keeping my favorite fantasy, alive!!!!

😊🤗🥰😘💐🕺💃✨💗
helenS · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman The efficiency of a hydrogen fuel cell (with Nafion as a membrane) is quite small. This may change in the future, of course.
Combustion of hydrogen (utilizing the Carnot efficiency ΔT/T) is better, at least at the moment, and combustion of H2 simply leads to formation of water (it just reverts the electrolysis of water into H2 and O2). I believe we will see a revival of the combustion engine. I see myself riding a hydrogen-driven train...
steam engine -> diesel engine -> electricity -> hydrogen: the future of our trains!
Oster1 · M
@helenS I sure hope so, but ALL energy is relevent! 😘
helenS · 36-40, F
@Oster1 I'm a railroad child, I love trains! Trains, to me, are the most natural way of traveling from A to B if a bicycle does not suffice.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@helenS I agree regarding trains. The long distances and now mostly diesel/Electric and the simplest option is to keep the electric componernt and switch the Diesel for hydrogen in one form or other. Back when Hydrogen was in its infancy "Arnie" had a Hummer converted as a Hydrogen burner, reputedly getting about 3 miles per gallon. Another decade of development, plus the same decade developing Hygrogen production will see a lot of changes.😷

@jofun925 “crimes”

A criminal stole the election and is attempting to entirely destroy the lives of the citizens in the country and you think that the legitimately elected president is a criminal because he didn’t take it sitting down?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@th3r0n You really need to look into the facts. Or at least stop listening to the one whining child left who fairs "its not fair".. Republican law makers, Judges and officials have formed their owen 100% Republican committee and chased down every claim of election fraud put out by anyone. "Just bring us the claim and we will review it"..And they did, and didnt find a single case where even one district in any state would have been effected. They conclude there was no fraud..Let me help you with the reference:😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

Wanna guess how many judges, governors, and elektion officials defied The Constitution and made up their own rules?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 Has what to do with anything? "There is no parking in the Red Zone" There. See?😷
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Yup, The Constitutiuon, who cares about that rag, right, if it gets in the way of you left-wing nut-job marxists
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 And I bet you want to be right wing when you grow up..😷
