Should Trump be charged with crimes?

My question is not about whether or not he is guilty of crimes, but whether it would be good for the country as a whole to charge him even if there is ample evidence. I certainly see where there is enough evidence of crimes, but considering 40% of the country is still swallowing his #$%#, I think having him "tried" in the court of public opinion may be the better outcome in the long run. I fear that charging him will only strengthen his support.

President's have immunity, so no. He did leave office after being upset about losing to whats his name, that spends all his time focused on Europe.
@checkoutanytime presidents don't have immunity, and trump's not president.
But okay! Murka doesn't make sense? It's best to chaos! Murka is chaos over the planet!

Former presidents are simply citizens with the same rights as you and I.

@checkoutanytime Presidents do not have immunity from crimes they commit. Perhaps they do in your country, but not in the US.
@Vin53 he was acting president at the time of question, he is immune.
@checkoutanytime whatever. Make up your own laws, like when they coup a country and Bolton brags.
@Roundandroundwego whatever dude, i dont subscibe to uhmerica bs
Vin53 · M
Yeah but that's not how our justice system works. For instance, there is no statute of limitations for murder. Once he's out of office his immunity goes bye-bye.

@checkoutanytime
@Vin53 he didn't say anything democrats haven't said about fighting for wbat you believe in. I agree he got pissy at the end, and that wasn't his best hour.

@checkoutanytime there are a couple of points if an american sitting president has be accused of wrong doings apart from the reason you stated .he should be accountable for his crime as nobody is or should be above the power of the law of there country. what about if an american president is impeached as was another famous republican president nixon
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Ferise1 Evidence, please. Not supposition, factual inaccuracies, or bullshit.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@smiler2012 Nixon was never impeached. He resigned before he could be impeached and was pardoned by his successor before he could be tried and brought to justice.
@windinhishair we're no longer evidence based. Ukraine was attacked -. NATO had nothing to do with it. No truth, just war. Forever! Murka uber alles.

If you're not cheating you're not trying. Besides, cons are too friggn stupid to run an ant farm.

@windinhishair if there is no strong enough evidence that is why trump is under scrutiny .why would the justice department waste tax payers money on a case they will not of winning
@smiler2012 you aren't an evidence based civil society.
Lol. Don't hear me,! You're Murka!
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@smiler2012 There is very strong evidence, and more becomes available by the day. The DOJ is proceeding slowly but inexorably and will indict Trump at the conclusion of the investigation.
@windinhishair only to dip shits like you, that dont care about laws, just what you want to believe.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@checkoutanytime I believe in the rule of law and evidence. Do you have that in your own country?
@windinhishair no you dont, or youd acknowledge democrates behavior is identical.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Roundandroundwego murka what is that when it is at home. if you trumpsters have nothing too fear why is he being investigated
Vin53 · M
Presidents are not immune to actions/crimes they commit during their term, they can be impeached and than they can be prosecuted when they are out of office. You do see this right?

@checkoutanytime
@Vin53 what crime? He told people to fight for America. The list of Democrats saying exactly that is long. I dont see any crime in voiceing an opinion.
Vin53 · M
Nice job of moving the goal posts. So you concede that potus's aren't immune for crimes they committed while in office.
