@Guitarman123 Their correspondence was relatively brief and mostly surrounded abolition to be sure but through his correspondence and his writing through the IWA I got the distinct impression Marx saw Lincoln as a bit more progressive than he actually was and figured he would do more to help the overall working class conditions for all. The entire exchange is available and thought provoking.
