Why can't the regime in Washington print the money for a new infrastructure and hire the population to build it for living wages?

@Graylight the bulk of our wealth consists of things like major corporations, seaports, airports, universities, hospitals, interstate highways, waste and water systems and communications.

A market economy creates the wealth used to plan, build and maintain these things.

@masterofyou all the money in the world now was created by the governments. When you create money to build things that people need -. Is that always inflationary? What about the value created if you manufacturer goods or build infrastructure?

@Roundandroundwego Well keep printing money and throwing it down the rabbit hole like Obama and Biden did and if i remember 1trillion dollars for shovel ready jobs was earmarked for infrastructure and was just pissed away during the Obama administration... Who is going to be able to pay the interest on this debt??

@BizSuitStacy the money is created in much larger amounts for other things. Eisenhower printed the money for the US hiways. Now it's conservative to have nothing useful, just a giant rust belt.
