Why can't the regime in Washington print the money for a new infrastructure and hire the population to build it for living wages?

@Adrift Printing excess money creates excess inflation. Vast amounts were printed during the pandemic crisis, as a result many countries including the US are now suffering from runaway inflation and rising cost of living.
Normally money gets printed to replace old cash which gets destroyed. As long as money only gets printed at the same rate it’s being taken out of circulation you don’t get inflation. When you upset the balance you get inflation.

@justanothername when you build needed things or products, that's not inflationary. But okay,! I like this failure for certain countries! Never build another US hiways system like Eisenhower did, by creating money! Death is better! Stay that course!!!
