Texas GOP Platform in a nutshell

1) move to state elector system so that it can be rigged to always favor Republicans regardless of demographic changes or political opinion shifts.

2) give wealthy people more tax breaks and create a broader division between wealthy land owners and lower class renters.

3) turn the lower class renters into baby factories to produce more cheap labor

4) remove social safety nets so that people will be desperate enough to work as cheap labor

5) create a system of dependency upon the Church for poor people

6) allow the church to drive politics.

That's what it all boils down to folks. Educated people have less babies. Homosexual relationships produce no babies. More people is more competition for jobs is cheaper workers. People brainwashed by religion are more likely to accept their lot in life.

Texas Republicans have revealed themselves as cartoonish moustache twirling villains and people still support them. Wake up conservative sheeple. Most of you are going to be the mutton, not the shepherds.

That’s pretty much the Republican mind set overall. Driving Americans backwards rather than forwards.
Less educated, uneducated or misleading education makes it easier to brainwash everyone.

@Mountainlady16 14 and up. I never once said kindergarten.

Many children start asking sex related questions from about 12 years onwards. The more you ignore those questions the more your kids are likely to make bad decisions when they grow up.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@justanothername it's not the school decide when a kid is ready to learn about sex it's the parents. The school I teach at doesn't teach sex ed at all
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@Mountainlady16 Actually it's the kid who decides. By 12 we were experimenting a bit.

We all have to accept our place in life.
We can't all drive the ship. Someone has to hoist the sales.
That doesn't mean you can't better yourself and your position in life.
I think the only one that I can address is number two about wealthy people and tax breaks.
A boss of mine once told me the reason they do that is because people with money are more likely to start a business.
Also I have never received a paycheck from a poor man.
You put a lot of work into this post. I can tell you have very strong feelings about everything you wrote.
I guess I will also add that thing about the serenity prayer.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference."

I think that pretty much sums it all up.
You can only actually make political changes at The ballot box.

@Carla If any of that is true explain to me one simple fact.
If he was actually guilty, personally, of any of that why isn't he in prison?
Al Capone had a lot less than that.
Carla · 61-69, F
@Dainbramadge there is more.
They were charged as civil cases. Trump paid the taxes and fines.
But if for one minute you believe that being caught cured him from dishonest tax practices, well...think again.

Capone was being sought after for other, more extreme crimes that they could not pin on him.
At the time, trump was more valuable as a real estate mogul(a failed one, but still of value to new york), then he would be in prison.

Do you believe that a fraudulent charitable foundation is lawful? He did no prison time for that.
How about a fraudulent university? No prison time there either.
Do you reckon you could get away with that?
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Carla
Donald Trump owns 500 businesses.
You don't actually think he is in charge of paying the taxes on each individual business do you?
He pays people to represent him in his business practices.
He employs 22, 450 people.
An example would be the manager at tractor supply. The manager doesn't own tractor supply. He was delegated the position. Also the person that hired him was delegated their position.
If the manager of a tractor supply business doesn't pay the taxes on the building or the land the government doesn't go after him they go after tractor supply.
People tend to overlook these things when they are filled with blind hate for someone or something.

As far as the college thing goes you don't actually think that he had anything to do with setting it up do you?
Do you think that he actually took the time to handpick every person that had anything to do with that college?
Do you think that he was actually out there mowing the lawn and doing the finances all the time while being in charge of 499 other companies?

Also as far as Al Capone goes, are you implying that the IRS made up the fact that Al Capone was dodging paying his taxes just so they could get him for other crimes that they couldn't prove?

The way I read your comment is that there's this huge coalition that is allowing Trump to get away with everything short of murder just because he is Trump.
That seems like a bit of a stretch even for a left leaning person.

Nailed It! (But not just Texas)
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@Elisbch yeah, the rest of them aren't exactly decrying it. They are going to watch and see if it plays well in Texas. If it doesn't, they'll just point and say we never said that, it was all Texas. If it does play well, they'll be admitting to it soon.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
Yet Dems want to bring in poor refugees and illegals in by the droves what's the difference
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@Mountainlady16 then we educate them and allow them to become productive members of society.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@ViciDraco at the cost of a real education for our own children overcrowded with illegals is one my main reasons I don't send my children to the brainwashing centers called public schools
Moxymoxy · F
@Mountainlady16 No corporate business wants to bring refugees and illegals in droves because it's a cheap labor force. Especially now that warehousing and home delivery is such a big deal. They don't care who they hire as long as they work cheap.

The thing about greed and power, there is never enough to satiate those who strive for it. They will kill those who stand in their way.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Whats all the fuss about? America is turning in on itself. Curling up into the fetal position to die in its sleep. Let it go already. The rich are just feeding off the carcas like sharks off a dead whale at this point..😷
now do NY and California?..

Sounds about right
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@SW-User I forgot the part about "fuck the environment" but was trying to keep it brief.
SW-User
@ViciDraco you should edit your post and add that plank

Reminds me of an episode of Dirty Money on Netflix (about a chemical plant near Houston), and possibly another episode in a similar docuseries
