I'm sure most of us here agree that Sharia law, a theocracy, is a dangerous and oppressive way to run a society...
...so why are so many conservatives so eager to accept a theocracy in America?
We know that running a country based on a religion ultimately ends in oppression, censorship and violence so why are conservatives so eager to bring in a theocracy in the United States?
Are they under the impression that because it is Christianity it will be different? Do they think that theocracies are only problematic for other religions?

Part of the problem with blindly following the religion you think is best for everybody is that you don't see why it's a problem to shove it down people's throats. Ironically, the same people who want to turn America into a Christian nation would burn it down if it was turned into a Muslim nation, even though many of the same rules would be enforced.
