On Thursday the Supreme court of the US issued a warning to Congress...

How? Of course by this ruling on New York state law.

I knew this was coming. The only way around both the 2nd amendment and the 14th amendment is to change the 2nd amendment to read in a reasonable way!

This actually was timed perfectly for Congress. A warning that they will overrule anything that was sensible or reasonable that congress should pass.

I hate to say this, yet I have warned exactly this will happen.

If you want reasonable control on guns you must change the second amendment.

If everyone now has a right to carry a weapon for "self defense", why not sling an AR15 over your shoulder and march in front of the Supremes houses? I'm sure sexual predator Thomas and the black out drunk will be outraged and demand protection.

@independentone they actually addressed that. The ruling covers "concealed" hand guns.

This was just a warning type ruling.

@independentone I wonder what the "AR" means in the term AR15? Is it the 15th assault rifle? People seem to be so fearful of them, like they are grenade launchers or bazookas or Tommy Guns.

@Diotrephes AR = Assault Rifle 15th model!

Notably modeled after the M16. Which is a semi automatic assault rifle. This means it can fire repeatedly similar to a machine gun. Just not quite as fast nor as much.

Funny that you have mentioned a grenade launcher. You see the M16 does have a grenade launcher attachment.

What is unique about the AR 15 is it can be easily modified to do just about anything the M16 can do. Even the same bullets. Including the M203 and M320 grenade launcher attachment! Also M16 banana clips also fit the AR 15.

So you know. I actually was qualified for the M203 grenade launcher. I'm certain I could figure out how to put one on a AR15. They are that similar. Not even having to shave down the firing pin which prevents the AR15 from being semiautomatic.

@Diotrephes AR actually stands for ArmaLite Rifle....the company that developed the gun back in the 1950's

@Darkechoes more familiar with the M16. Yet have had to field strip everyday one. The name doesn't matter. Yet the capabilities do!

We called even M16's Mattel's after all! 🤣
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Darkechoes I know that but I wanted to see if anyone else knew it. Lots of no-nothings think that the "AR" means "assault rifle."
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Diotrephes yep! There are obvious know nothings. Easy to look things up. Experience is a different matter.
