My hope for congress....

I wont presume to say how the next Congressional election is going to go;its way too early to tell. But I will say what I HOPE will happen. My wish is that the Republicans take back both the House of Reps.and the Senate with huge majorities in an historic blowout. Then,I dearly hope that they promptly go about treating the Democratic party in the same way they are being treated now.......

So just a thought.........but if your listed age is right, you most likely live with mommie and daddy still. You have not lived long enough to have done anything in life but party and go to school. You most likely think a big full day of work is playing games for 8 hours. Likely have never held a job..paid a bill or have a clue what it means to be an adult.

So we really value your political insight..........smh

@anythingoes477 FYI,I work two jobs, dont drink or do drugs and am very responsible. And in a free country with supposedly free speecj,I have to go on the assumption that my opinions are as vaild as anyones. And if you belive that my age makes my views worthless, heres a solution:DONT POST ON MY FORUM.
@DavidT8899 A person's valid right to opinion isn't in question. I wouldn't stop a first day med student from talking about how he "thought" a surgery should be done......but i damned sure would not let him be the one to operate on me. Everyone has "ideas" of how to do something.........but that is a piss poor substitute for the knowledge of someone whose been here for long enough to know.

you talk about how badly the Democrats have treated you. What........in high school? What did the democrats do to ruin your life? Take your book bag?

@anythingoes477 You complain that my age makes my opinions less valid, but from the way you are talking one would suspect you are perhaps 12,maybe 13 yrs old.Steal my bookbag? How long did it take you to think up that gem?I see Democratic-or should I say leftist-policies destroying the culture and quality of life of my country.THAT is what they have done to me-as well as every citizen of the U.S.A

@DavidT8899 Until you've been denied the right to marry because others didn't like it, you haven't had your quality of life or culture destroyed. Until you've tried to end a pregnancy that can only result in tragedy and were told your body doesn't belong to you but the government, you haven't had your quality of life or culture destroyed. Until you've been legally harassed for being a minority, until you've lost a job because of who you love, until you've been legally denied civil rights or privileges, you haven't had your quality of life or culture destroyed.

No one is questioning you intelligence, work ethic, opinions or perspective. But it is an indisputable fact you lack experience in the world compared to some. And you can't possibly understand it now, but it really does make a difference.

@Graylight My suspicion is that many if not most of the people commenting on these issues on this platform have not experienced them firsthand in the manner you have described. If the criteria for being allowed to have an opinion on a particular issue is that you must have been affected by it personally, then lets face it:very few would have the right to talk about anything
@DavidT8899 Tell me about those policies. Name them. Tell me how they affect you and have changed your life for the worse personally.

@DavidT8899 That's a very good point. Age has little to do with willful ignorance. But it does create perspective and time enough to catalogue a host of experiences not accessible to the younger.

I think in the end, it's not about any of the traits of the people involved. Clear, authentic voices can be heard in the complete darkness. That's what we need on all sides right now.
