DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@SweetNSassy It is but it certainly got very hard

@SweetNSassy 😊🤗🥰😘❤️

Much respect!!!
Oster1 · M
@SweetNSassy I always love your custom emojis! Truly, you are, "a one of a kind'!
😊👍
@Oster1 thanks! 💗
@DearAmbellina2113we literally have the best medical drs in the world and we are still one of the wealthiest countries in the world. You should learn to have some pride in your country
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@SweetNSassy you may have excellent doctors but can the average person afford to see them
Oster1 · M
@nedkelly Absolutely! Medicaid here, is the same policy. Do not believe, the myth.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Oster1 no, American healthcare needs immediate addressing. It isn’t fair that the only individuals who can have access to healthcare are 65 an older or meet a financial criteria. There is no myth.

I make anywhere from $20-30 an hour and it sounds like a lot but private insurance costs me $600-$900 a month on top of daycare costing around $800> bc I don’t qualify for free daycare and food because I don’t qualify for wic or food stamps.

After all that that $20-$30 an hour doesn’t mean shit it equals back out. Sometimes I wonder if I should take a minimum wage job just so I can have access to healthcare. I’ve been sick with something since January and there’s nothing I can do about it
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@nedkelly and American healthcare is the most expensive in the world with the least favorable outcomes. We do NOT have the best healthcare. If I remember correctly Sweden and the Nordic countries do. We have healthcare in a first world country
Oster1 · M
@DeluxedEdition I hear you and unfortunately, you are caught in the middle of a very bad situation. I referred to people, who could not afford, have Medicaid, underwrited, by the exact same insurance companies and having the same policy.

Tomorrow, I will look into finding you help. In the mean time, with your growing skills, you may need to find employment with this benefit. It is out there.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Oster1 everyone in Australia is entitled to free hospital 🏥 and some doctors also offer free doctors if they have a low income card
Oster1 · M
@DeluxedEdition Also, people over 65, have a 'Medicare' plan, that they have paid into. It's still $170 a month plus.

I have many employees that we insure. I know more about this, then I ever wanted to know.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Oster1 if you would it would be much appreciated 🙏 thank you so much for your consideration
Oster1 · M
@nedkelly Excellent! We are working towards that, but I assure you, no one is ever turned away here. Yes, there may be financial problems to face afterwards. 😔
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Oster1 I broke my ankle in three places, and all of the expenses were automatically covered due to public health system
Oster1 · M
@DeluxedEdition Honestly, I will try very hard to help you. I cannot stand to see a hard working Single Mom, suffer, to protect her family. This hurts me greatly and is an injustice!!!
🤗🤗🥰❤️🙏🌷
Oster1 · M
@nedkelly Bless your heart, Ned. I'm so sorry that happened to you and thankful, that wasn't a financial burden. It's wonderful to have that protection, when needed!!! 😊👍
@nedkelly we have free drs for poor people here too it’s called Medicaid and they get food stamps and free or cheap housing.
@DeluxedEdition you should really look into getting a job with benefits. You are a single mom and you should really consider finding something with life insurance and medical insurance also in the meantime you might be able to find a Dr who has their own plan, I know their are a few here in my area that you pay on a monthly basis who don’t take insurance.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@SweetNSassy that’s what I’m going to do when October comes back around. Unfortunately when they first offered it to me I declined it because the insurance didn’t cover much. I thought I would be able to get a better option fitted to my specific needs but I was clearly wrong lol

BUT I will bite the bullet and take the coverage when open enrollment comes back around. I was just hoping for something better 😔

@DeluxedEdition before obamacare, i had a $1,000 family deductible and $20 copay. once obamacare was implemented, my deductible increased to over $3,000 and the copay was eliminated. why? because of all the additional requirements the ACA (obamacare) placed on insurance companies/policies. the same will happen with universal healthcare... you'll just pay for it via increased taxes. healthcare is NOT free.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@SweetNSassy it certainly is!
dakotaviper · 56-60, M
@DeluxedEdition all brought you by the ACA (Obamacare). I've got Blue Cross / Blue Shield Insurance. It was costing me about $70 per month, had a $500 deductible, co-pay was $10, and my drugs didn't cost me anything out of pocket before the ACA. After the ACA (Obamacare) was implemented, I pay $75 per week, my deductible is now $6500, my co-pay is now $45, and my drug costs are $35 to $55 out pocket for each drug. Before the ACA, the closest Hospital was within 5 miles of my home and my Doctor was 8 miles from my home. Now my closest Hospital and Doctor in network is 32 miles from my home. My Insurance didn't change. When I had my heart attack 5 years ago, they couldn't take me to the Hospital within 5 miles of my home, they had to take me to the one that was 32 miles away.
