Is anyone sick of this whole left vs right thing ?

It's just gotten really old. I've been hiding most posts about politics lately because of it, lol.

Yeah, sad I miss the days when we were able to get along regardless of what political side you choose.

@empanadas the parties didnt get along with each other back then but your right they were civil and respected each other I think it got worse in the midd 1990s

@JohnOinger yeah I meant on like a day to day bases. People wouldn't talk about politics as much. Now everything is politicized

@empanadas It was like that when I joined this site in 2018. Around the 2020 election is when things started to deteriorate.

@empanadas I'm curious when you think such a time existed, especially since you're not even that old.

Such a unicorn time never existed.

Moreover, everything in life has always had a political dimension to it, but perhaps in the past those who didn't want to be bothered just buried their head in the sand, and that's why you never perceived the political reality of all of life.

@bijouxbroussard Jebus! You're almost as bad as me. ( A gay, socialist, atheist with a dash of Jewish blood) and BLM goes without saying even though some people seem to reject the idea of white, liberal BLM support.
@Grateful4you Conserves used to be perplexed when I posted this photo from one of the BLM protests in SF, especially after they accused BLM of being "anti-white". I told one of them, “guess these folks didn’t get that memo"
@bijouxbroussard Ah nice, and a affirmation I needed to see even though I am secure about my value system, it's really nice to have this visual, the satisfaction of knowing I have my ducks in a row. This is a moment in history far more brittle than the 60's. I don't think the majority of Americans realize exactly how frail our way of governance is right now. We really need the mutual support of each other more than ever hon.
