It's just gotten really old. I've been hiding most posts about politics lately because of it, lol.

@Imsleepy I'm glad you said that. The majority of people have no idea how frail and at-risk our system of government is at right now. People like Tucker Carlson WANT our democracy to collapse. Once enslaved, Americans will have no other choice but to obey. Trump supporters will be in shock and agony suddenly realizing they have been abandoned . Terrified without any kind of support from the government, friends or family the USA will be in utter chaos. Every man for himself until the military takes over and decides the fate of various populations.
One thing is certain. Once the military takes over, MAGA will no longer be tolerated, Proud Boys, Patriots, and all other Trump supporters will have to be put down. Trump won't bother hiding his contempt for his own supporters any longer. ( He has already said while watching the Jan6th coup attempt, "They look kinda low class" his supporters who already have advocated for civil war will be silenced by military order and placed in detention camps to prevent threats to military authorities.
All private citizens will be disarmed. Only military police and all other military authorities will have the right to bear arms. The next several years will be a period of complete re-organization and complete "cleansing" of former politicians and policies. The USA will assume a regime similar to that of North Korea all current political practices will be modified and adapted to facilitate military rule.
This is just a rough idea of what could possibly happen in the event of a military takeover, as far fetched as all this sounds I wouldn't dismiss the idea of something similar happening. Hopefully, this is a nothing more than a paranoid rant. I just hope Americans wake-up and realize how at risk and fragile our democracy is. How easily it can slip away if we don't cling hard and fast to the rights and freedoms we presently take for granted.
Trump, DeSantis and their cohorts are totally indifferent to ideals this country was founded on, they have zero regard or respect to a government for the people, by the people. WE, not politicians or military are in charge of the USA. Be pro-active, vote. Speak up, stand up and consider at least some of this of having some small measure of value.
