@basilfawlty89 You technically don't need a car anywhere but you'll be walking on sidewalks that end abruptly, in an envirement where nobody notices you unless you're a big, metal object with lights on it.

@SinlessOnslaught not the case in NYC. You have cabs, the subway, etc. You really don't even need a car unless you're staying in far outlying areas of Queens, Staten Island or Brooklyn.
