Not a hoax, but a waste of time since nothing will come of it.

@independentone You don't think they will make a criminal referral at least ?
@RodionRomanovitch I don't think the DOJ will indict. Look at NY, plenty of evidence submitted yet the DA refuses to indict. Fact is, Trump is guilty but will get away with it.

@independentone 'I don't think the DOJ will indict. ' - I lean that way too , BUT ..... if the committee really does have the receipts , and makes the referral then Garland is going to come under some very serious pressure.
@RodionRomanovitch Garland should come under serious pressure, plenty of evidence shown over the last 18 months, yet Garland refuses to indict. Do you think Garland has been paid off?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@independentone I think he's scared shitless of the inevitable whirlwind that an indictment would unleash.
@RodionRomanovitch So instead of doing his job and doing what is right, he just ignores facts? The divide between the left and right is becoming larger every day.
In my opinion, Trump is largely responsible for encouraging the hate and racism in this country, and the country will never be united again. I think the country is on its way down and will never recover.

@independentone no one wants to be the first person in America to indict a former president. The big mistake, really big one, was not to cut a deal during the impeachment that he would never run for any government office, and would just disappear into the woodwork, in exchange for a pardon. The real problem, is what to do with all of his enablers, the people in congress who enabled his vile acts, including some of them who asked him for a pardon before he left office!
@samueltyler2 If the rule of law doesn't apply to the President, then it shouldn't apply to anyone. Garland is a coward and afraid to do his job. Congress has been a bad joke for years now, and deserves to be ignored and ridiculed.

@independentone tRump should have been punished many years ago. The courts have been negligent in the past, and to charge him now will make the US look like a banana republic. I'd rather see the public pull back from any pf his properties, sue the hell out of his company and bring he and his family and followers down on their knees economically! Charge every single one of the insurrectionists, congressional and other, with sedition. Pass laws that will make any repeat of the situation impossible.
@samueltyler2 That would be nice, but it's also a pipe dream. Basically the US is a banana republic and no longer looked up to by the rest of the world.

@independentone I hope it isn't such a pipe dream. Look at what certain organizations have already done, no golf tournaments at his clubs, etc. You are wrong about the last statement. Why would so many foreign students and immigrants want to come to the US, of course, for a better life. We weathered other terrible storms, let us hope we can weather this one, even with an totally corrupt and evil force that has to be cleaned out, I still have hope.
@samueltyler2 I hope you're right and I'm wrong, but I'm not convinced yet. I just don't see this country going in the right direction.

@independentone not just the US, it is a global problem
