America's Babies Are Still Starving

Joe Biden’s handlers refuse to tell the public when Biden was briefed on the baby formula shortage.

79-year-old Joe Biden is clueless so even if he was briefed, it’s not like he would remember or even know how to solve the problem.

Biden has spent nearly 50 years in government and the only thing he has successfully done is make money by selling his public office to the highest bidder.

Biden on Wednesday got called out for his lies related to the baby formula crisis:

Reporter: Why didn't you move quicker on the baby formula shortage?

Biden: "I don't think anyone anticipated the impact of the shutdown of Abbott facility."

Reporter: "Didn't the CEOs just tell you they understood it would have a very big impact?"

Biden:"They did but I didn't"

In a free market economy it shouldn't be down to government to hold the hand of business. A fragile supply chain has been tested and broken by economic shock, and the inefficiency of the market revealed (yet again). Poorly funded offices of government will now have to try to mop up the spilt milk.

@SunshineGirl The FDA SHUT DOWN A MAJOR, MAJOR SUPPLIER OF BABY FORMULA.. Hold the hand of business? Are you serious? If a business is shut down by the FDA the government takes over and will not ALLOW them to re-open.

The free market argument goes out the window when government agencies wrongfully close the business and keep it closed.

Nice try Sunshine!

@4meAndyou Abbott voluntarily recalled some of its products and ceased production following reports of bacterial infection in babies that are potentially related to the company's baby formula. The shortages stem from a market already under strain following the pandemic and over-reliance upon a single manufacturing plant which is known to have had serious sanitation issues. The FDA's response may well be shown to be slow and inadequate, but then again it is not generally the role of democratic governments in the 21st century to dabble in industrial policy 🤷‍♀️

@SunshineGirl Then, after it was determined that their formulas were not responsible for the bacterial infections in babies, the FDA cited them for multiple violations at their plant...and shut them down without any sort of plan in place to feed the starving babies. The FDA IS part of the government.
